To mark Cortina d’Ampezzo’s Fashion Weekend, Franz Kraler arranged a special evening of fashion and music.
Their flagship multibrand store at 107 Corso Italia hosted a champagne and cocktail reception for the launch of the new “Mr & Mrs Furs” collection by designers Alessia Giacobino and Alessandro Squarzi, long-time collaborators of renowned brand Jo No Fui.
The collection took, as its starting point, original American army parkas, transforming them with fur trim and linings in a variety of colours.
The event was celebrated with the launch of the “Christmas Capsule Collection”, featuring limited edition garments made with precious check or python-effect skins and furs.
The little piazza in front of the store was the stage for a performance by the Veneto Philharmonic’s Le Stagioni string ensemble, with themes from the celebrated symphonies of Gershwin and Bernstein and arias from the classical repertoire, ranging from the baroque to the Romantic.
Inside the store, a special Christmas tree was adorned with original fur decorations.
The tree, which was created in collaboration with Jo No Fui, was auctioned on 9 December to raise funds for the Baby nel Cuore charity. Established in Bologna in 1993, the charity supports projects for disadvantaged children.
